black spot on chin...personality is off

i really appreciate your reply. thats the best photo i can get. i am currently holding a vield chameleon for a freind of mine while she moves. both cages are probably 25 feet from each other but both cages are screen enclosed. can this have anything to do with it?

YES if he can see another cham it would cause some stress. Very well could be why your guy is at the bottom of the cage more. I use a towel on a side of my cage.

no they are way out of sight distance at least 25 feet or more and one is towards the east side of the room and the other all the way across on the west

That shouldn't be a problem then. As long as they cant see each other.

Another reason chams will hang out at the bottom is, if it is too hot. Maybe check your temps.

If he were my cham i would get his checked out if he keeps up the strange behavior. Better be safe than sorry chams can go downhill quick.

he stays outside on my enclosed porch because i live in florida and its about 85 here during the day. theres a rainforest vet about 5 mins away ill just get him a appointment. i appreciate your help

85 should be his basking temp.

Make sure he gots Shade, and lots of water if you are keeping them outside. keep them hydrated.
