Hi,
I'm just popping on quickly as I'm not feeling too well.. so haven't the energy to type all the details I know you guys will want... I just thought i'd see if anyone knew what this was...
my veiled male aged about 1 and half yrs.. has a smooth ish black patch over his back knee... don't think he could of burnt it.... and he has just shed... could it be fungal or just a bruise?
It does look a little swollen compared to the other knee
I will try and get a pic up tomorrow

thanks in advance

he's moving and eating fine...

Can you post a picture? It doesn't sound like a burn, but it does sound like a bruise. Usually they get black bruises from getting poked by branches/leaves or falling.

i will try to tomorrow..... am off to bed in a bit.. I ope someone will be able to help....I came on about a year ago with egg bound issues with my female and everyone on here was so so helpful which was a massive relief!!!
He was born with MBD in his jaw but his legs have seemed fine.. I'll get him out and try and get a close up of his knee... thank you for replying!!

just remembered one of his willow branches had moved and fallen down so he may have swung down with it and bashed his knee possibly.. not entirely sure how soft/hard a knock would have to be to produce a black swollen knee.... just a thought tho..

I still haven't sorted out a pic but it looks almost identical to the black spot mentioned and photographed in the thread by someone else before mine!

lovely thanks... I'll keep an eye on it for a week and see if there is any change... if not I'll be back!!

MY cham has gotten several bruises over the months.
I found that a warm daily shower helped them to heal.
I also found that it can sometimes take several weeks to heal.
SOme chams on here have gotten bruises that healed quickly, others it takes longer.
LIke you said, just keep an eye on him, but Im sure he will be fine. (though a warm shower wouldnt hurt)
