Black lines on my chameleons skin?

I don't know where these lines came from and I am seriously worried. I can't find any online references on what these could be either. He appears to be happy and in good condition and under great care. I don't know what these lines are! HELP! :( let me know if I need to post pictures

I can't help you out with what those lines are, but mealworms arent suggested. They have basically no nutritional value. Kind of like just feeding your cham a shell

okay well i was told to feed him a variety, but thank you for letting me know that! he seems healthy and is acting as he always has. so im just worried

It could be a skin infection, a bruise, or I think there Is a type of worm that can crawl underneath an animal's skin that can leave a mark like that. I guess you should just watch to see If It spreads

Well i would just watch them carefully over the next couple days unless anybody else has a better Idea. Also, sometimes my Chameleon gets black lines and stuff when she leans against stuff for a while, especially when sleeping. They never last a day though

He's very handsome.

I tend to agree with the "wait a few days and see" philosophy here. My first thought is parasites, but I could be wrong and, truthfully, not all parasites require treatment.

after looking closer, like super close and touching it. it really doesnt look like worms. AT ALL. i mean the lines have been in the same area as they first appeared. if anything it looks closer to a bruise, or infection, although he seems great. ahhh im so confused

Mealworms are OK to feed to your cham. They should be fed ONLY as a treat though and not part of thier main diet! Over feeding mealworms can cause impaction which can lead to lots of different things. Giving your cham a few every couple days is not a bad thing! I feed my cham superworms every couple days and they go NUTS for them.

As for the lines, I have never seen anything like it. Give it a couple days and then if it continues or spreads then it might be a trip to the vet.

yeah i have been feeding him only meal worms for the past 2 and a half days cause all the crickets died. and i went to get some at the pet store today and they were out. i dont know if that could be the cause of this? i will post a better picture

This is not a good idea. IF he gets impacted it can cause ALOT of other problems, such as, prolapse, infection ect. Try and get crix tomorrow if you can. Good Luck:D
