Biofilm?

So I got up today, and noticed a lot of white fluffy type stuff stuck to the side Stella's hibiscus, like spyderwebs with dense dew all over it. Its were the fogger hits it as it falls down. So an hour of resaerch later Ive still got no for sure reason for this other than biofilm. Which I know nothing about. Is this what this is? When I went to mist it "dissolved" when the mist hit it, and now its gone. I have been using the fogger for about a month and this is the first time its happend, I am 100% sure that it was non-existant last night. Ive turned the fogger off for now, but I realy need it for humidity, any info on this? Is it dangerous? Can I prevent it?

Can you show a picture when you'll find it again? A biofilm is a slimy coat out of water and microorganisms and your "spider web with dense dew" doesn't really sound like that.

Bio film is caused by a colony of bacteria, so I would imagine it can be pretty harmful to your chameleon. It is often found in water systems such as water falls, foggers etc.
How often do you clean your fogger, you can get special degreaser/bleach that is designed to steralise such devices to get rid of the bacteria. Recommended to be done every 2 weeks.

Ok, I went to see if there was any still there, its not on the hibiscus realy but a dead limb that is sticking out of the same pot I think. Theres not enough to get a picture, but its like white hair material, it was at least 1/2" thick! I noticed it when misting this morning, and just sorta without thinking I misted it, and it just dissolved like I said, but, i was able to get some off just now and it is like a hair material, for lack of a better word.

The fogger is clean, and cant find any "slime" or anything on or in it. Just at the base of a tiny hibiscus with the stick, but im not sure what else it could have been on, like I said it "dissolved" and I didnt immediatly notice it.

Im going to let things dry up a bit, ill turn it back on before I take off for work, and if it reapears ill definatly post a pic in the morning...

Also, it is a tangible substance, that can be rolled between the fingers, but I only have a tiny sample, and my cam is not wonderfull...

spider mites maybe? i dont think anyone has mentioned it yet but look that up. they make little webs im pretty sure.

i think all you really have to do is take it out and clean it really good. they dont like water from what little research ive done (just brief prep. for future problems)

Thanks! I dont believe thats it though. Ive found a few herp sites with people saying its normal for a realy humid viv to take on mold from decaying plant matter and such, and then it will "even out" and eventualy reduce/go away. Still realy vague, and still dont know exactly what it is, I turned the fogger back on, and its already coming back after just a few hours I am just worried some sort of mold spores or somthing is going to infect my cham, I keep a cool side and a warm side to my enclosure, warm side has old style boiling water type humidifier near it and basking bulb, cool side has the fogger and more shade, I may just need to move it away from the soil/dead wood area, but would rather not, seeing as how this would mess with my setup one way or another. Im currently comparing the LLL cages and the screencages.com cages, and will be changing everything up in about a week anyway though. Just want to know what the heck it is!
