Big Boy Home

My Cham is about 8-9 month old now so I am think of moving up to a big boy home and was just wondering if the Exo Terra Glass Terrarium 90x45x90cm would be big enough. I have him in a Exo Terra Glass Terrarium 45x45x60cm at the moment which is doing ok (except with the drainage problem that I’m looking to sort out this weekend with some hydro balls).

If you think this won’t be suitable size could anyone suggest what I should be looking for. I won’t be using a mesh cage as it will be too hard to keep the correct temps and humidity so will have to be wood or glass.

People who use wood vivs, how do you deal with the dampness on the wood?

I'm in the UK. Screen cage might be ok through the summer but I don’t think it would be suitable in the winter.

I live in the uk and use screen enclosures to, people have opinions on what is the best viv but you carnt knock mesh!!

I would recommend a large screen only, cage and if needed, tape cut pieces of thick clear plastic sheeting over the back, as well as one, or both, sides.

Dont forget to mist frequently :)

Could I use the same light fittings I have on my exo terra on a screen cage or would I have to buy more. Anyone recommend a good screen cage available in the UK?

I don't know if they sell these in the UK but reptibreeze from zoomed or zilla screen cages depending on the size of your lights u can still use them on these cages .

Yes they do these in the uk i got mine for £75 so not bad, i got it from
Surreypetsupplies type that into google and it should come up, mine got delivered the next day too!! :D

i use clear plastic on the bottom with 2 drains and used watter sealer on all of the wood.
only have water make it to the drains when i over water the plants and mist at the same time, other than that the bottom drys out in an hour.
run the platic up the sides to make it run to the drains or mist less more often and u should be fine
