Better safe than sorry right?

So I took my little guy in to the vet to get checked for a URI. Well after talking to the vet he had previous chameleon experience and knew quite a bit about them. So I trusted him and let him check everything out. He said this was the best looking and most active chameleon he has seen here. No signs of a URI at all which makes me happy. He said that there was no excess saliva no bubbles no watering by the eyes and it didn't become a LRI. I also happened to take a fecal in so that can get sampled. So I guess he pops just to scare me he likes to see me panic I am pretty sure of it. He is eating a lot I mean I am going to be broke because of this little man but it was worth it. If anyone has ever experienced anything like this I would like to know what happened. I also want to thank everyone that has tried to help me :).

That's good news! However, I don't know how your vet could say for sure there is no infection without taking a swab? LRI's can be hard to diagnose so a swab is really the best way to find out. I'm not doubting your vet at all, just curious how he knows :)

See it's true you learn something new everyday. I don't know if he knew that or not but he is better than the last vet I took my little guy to who diagnosed him wrong. I might take him back later when I have more money. He said though that when they do have a LRI that their stomach droops and their breathing is very different. He also said that they are less active and don't feel like moving while which was the opposite of what was happening. Don't worry doubt is never a bad thing and I would much rather learn this information so I know, Thank you :)
