Hey its Jade again!
Do any of you cham lovers out there know what to use for transporting a veiled chameleon?
I'm thinking about using a shoe box and maybe line it with something to keep the heat in, problem is I dont know what to use to line it with!
Anyone out there willing to help?

Thanks, post back, Jade.

How long is the trip? By car?

Chances are the box won't need any insulation or heat (unless you plan on having your car's AC blasting right on the box). Most chams closed inside a box will just take a nap so they don't need to be maintained at a very warm temp. Wedge some sort of perch or branch inside the box for him to grab on to, put a wet paper towel in the bottom for humidity, don't put the box in direct sunlight (to keep any change in temp minor).

I agree to what carlton said. This is probably the best way to transport a chameleon.
Try to "shake" the box as less as possible and he´ll be fine.

If you have a cricket keeper you could probably put the crickets in a bucket and clean it out and use that

I have set up my cricket keeper with rock and vines and leaves and used it to transport. Worked very well, I brought a towel to drape over so it would feel more secure
