What are the best plants to grow inside? I live in a dry area but I was also wondering do I need any special lighting or not?

Um, we need to know more...do you mean growing inside your house? Inside your cham's cage? Inside a terrarium for another type of herp?
If you are not housing a day-active lizard you can use a fluorescent "grow light" commonly available at hardware stores or nurseries. If you are housing a day active lizard you'll need a UV spectrum fluorescent light such as the ReptiSun 5.0, the Acadia, or ReptiGlo, not just a grow light.

Oh I am so sorry I meant for a veiled chameleon I am getting he will be 3 to 4 months old and it will be in a screen cage I know the list of plants from flchams but some of those plants require a lot and I was just wondering what plant do you think is the easiest to take care of thank you

Pothos and umbrella plant are relatively hardy, although my pothos's have given me hard times for a little bit when I repot them, but they always come around. The umbrella plant your cham will love and is cheap. Both plants run around $10.

I suggest you some best indoor plants like Angel Ivy ring topiary, Chinese evergreen, Braided ficus tree, Moth Orchid and many more. You have to select best plants for your indoor, I like Moth Orchid very much so I use some best LED lights for growing all the plants.
