We have local pet stores, PETCO, pet smart, and mcgoos that sell them. I am concerned about their husbandry and what it might do to to them until I get them home. But on the other hand I'm told do not get one until it has been there to make sure it lives. I have a 24x24x48 cage. I prefer not to get a tiny one cause he will b my first one. Any local areas that anyone knows of that I could get directly from a husbandry that he should of been living in? Or is it OK to go with a pet store if it looks and acts healthy? I live in mid Michigan, near flint area. My son is in grand rapids, but 2 hours away so the ride might be too hard on him. Oh, if if his one eye doesn't open back up should I pass on him or try to nurture him. I have become very attached to him.

having recently purchased a jackson cham from chameleonsnorthwest.com,
i would really recommend buying from one of the site sponsors
if you don't find a local breeder. it is just not worth the risk of buying a cham that you can't verify the health and husbandry of. the sponsors and breeders here on the web are passionate about chams and do not want you to have a bad experience. there are "box store" employees that do the best they can but they may work for a manager that just wants that cham sold sick or not. in the short time i have been on this forum i have seen bad experiences from the national brand stores.

The classified section on this forum is another great place to look, in addition to our fine site sponsers.
