Best medium for egg laying bucket?

Can anyone tell me what the best medium is for setting up an egg laying basket? I have heard sand, shredded coconut bark, peat moss etc.. Please let me know if anyone has had some experience so I can avoid learning the hard way. I have another week until I need to have the bucket in her cage so would like to be fully prepared. thanks

I use a mixture of top soil, vermiculate and orchid bark. My chams seem to love it. If I try using other stuff, they don't go in it. The mixture holds enough moisture and sticks together when they dig all the way down to the bottom. Good luck.

i use a mix of playsand/eco-earth and find that when its damp enough,it holds a tunnel really well.

I have used a two parts washed play sand to one part soil mix with success in the past. I now use just washed play sand, with equal success. I find the sand is easiest for me, and seems to work just fine for the panther chameleons as well.
