Well I arrived home to a bunch of small boxes. So, I started opening them and noticed at the bottom of one box was a small pillow. I thought that this was a strange gift from my brother... a plain white pillow. Hmmm.

So I continued to open the next one. That's when I knew I would not be able to top this gift no matter what.

Now that was cool!!! :D:cool:

I hate to dredge up an oldish thread, or take away from the awesomeness that is decadancin, but I thought you guys would be interested in seeing the original artwork that this pillow came from. I recently acquired this piece; it is by André Marie Constant Duméril and is taken from Erpétologie générale, ou histoire naturelle complè des reptiles. (General Herpetology, or complete natural history of reptiles) and was printed in 1854.

Figure one is a male Furcifer verrucosus. Figure two shows the tongue of a Chamaeleo senegalensis. Figure three shows the dorsal head view of Furcifer bifidus.

Trace, that is very cool! I'm glad you posted the print. I need to get that pillow, even my husband thinks it's unusual and beautiful. :)
