Best Brand Supplements

Okay, theres so many brands of supplements out there, some good and others not so good.
I was wondering which supplements you guys use/think is the best.
(calcium w/o D3, calcium w/ D3, and multi-vits)
:)

I currently use Rep-Cal products, but I have noticed a lot of members flocking to Repashy products lately. I haven't seen info on supplement quality, and it seems like many just purchase what they can find locally. For me PetsMart only carried Rep-Cal.

I like the Rep-Cal plain phosphorous and vitamin free calcium. I find it doesnt clump and coats the feeders better than other products. But I also like the sticky tongues Mineral-al-O because it has other minerals. So now I tend to mix or alternate the two.

I use RepCal with D3, but, becauses this is a very potent product, others prefer the Sticky Tongues or more recently Repashy.

I like the RepCal vitamin supplement, but others prefer other brands (often it depends on whether or not you need/want preformed vitamin A).

In the UK, Nutribol is popular.

You may find this blog entry useful for comparing products:

and I'll be adding more info/ more products to this list soon.

I use the Repti- products as well and I think I might try the Rephasy supplements next to see what they like better! Its worth a try.....

I agree and use rep- brand along with sticky tongue miner-all.

you can get a great combo pack at tiki. My one stop shop now for their awesome combo pack! just saying.

Kammerflage Kreations is endorsing Repashy Calcium plus. Alot of people are going to try it it seems. Maybe me too!

Currently using the Repashy products.

I have a serious problem with Rep-Cal in that there D3 has WAY too much D3 (compared to all the others) and they replaced Retenol with Beta Carotene without any research behind it.

I dont think its too much D3, used sparingly. Has worked for me for nearly two decades.
Im glad there's no retinol in the herptivite :)

Your right if used correctly once or twice a month. It is just so much more concentrated than all the others out there I just don't see a need to have a supplement, that has what is used as rat poison, to have that high of a concentration. Not to say it can't be used correctly by knowledgeable people, yourself included.

However, following your general Philosophy to nutrition wouldn't it be better if you were giving a small dose of D3 as needed rather than giving a large bolus of D3 once or twice a month? I know it can work, it does work, but is it the best way? Just because it has worked for you and worked for two decades does it make it the best way to give nutrition? I LOVE your work with gutloads because you are always researching, always fine tuning your mix to make it the most optimal nutrition available to your colony of chameleons.

I read this on here as well, I do a very light coating twice of month of rep-cal, once it runs out I plan on switching to a different brand.

I figure mine do get D3 (via their UVB tubes) daily. The small amount I provide about twice weekly via supplements (its only on maybe 4 bugs a month) is only supplementary to their more natural daily self-creation. Since its fat stored, they use it as needed (not therefore really necessary to provide daily, such as like with Vitamin C)

I recently started using Repashy's Calcium Plus. So far I my cham and I have really liked it. I am noticing slight improvements to his health.

Its also nice to not worry so much about forgetting a dosage of a supplement as they are all wrapped up into one.
