Bert struggling with his shed

Hi everyone.

Bert started shedding about 3/4 days back and made good progress to begin with. He seems to have stopped now and has some skin left on the sides of his body.

He gets regular warm mists which he loves yet still the skin doesnt seem to want to shift. See picture beow.

Any tips? Thanks!

Try upping his mists a bit more. If that doesn't work, give him a shower.

when i get some stuck shed i take a little mineral oil on a qtip and gently rub it off

Upping the humidity whilst he's in shed will help things. Make sure the enclosure has time to dry out in between though so the skin has chance to dry out and flake off. As tempting as it is to pick it off to help him, please don't! Picking off shed before it's ready can damage the new skin underneath and may lead to infections.

i use this zilla shed stuff that you put in the spray that helps alot.
