Before you spend $10,000

I wish I would've found this video about an hour ago when I purchased everything for my cham enclosure, it would saved me 100's.
This is the link to a video on chameleon cost by a very good keeper:
In the description was a complete list of everything you need. Of course a keeper's equipment varys but for a new keeper this list would've been a perfect start especially considering I bought almost all these exact items just at a higher price.

She's a member of this page and a big part of our cham family she's awesome

I still lol at the reptisafe. If you use it as intended, that $5 bottle would condition 2 gallons :)

All it does is break down the chlorine (which can be bad for standing water)
"softens" the water with a Chelating Agent (makes buidup stuff water soluble)
and a dispersing agent that they try to market as sounding like a heathly ingredient

Folks just change your water. The culligan man will give you 5 gallons for a buck.

So happy you found the video helpful! It was one of the first ones I made :)

I started using bee pollen after filming the video (would love to make a video discussing the bee-nefits of using it ), and no longer recommend using Reptisafe.
I'm actually really interested in learning more about this. I've used bee pollen as a gut load, but I've heard of others dusting feeders with it.

Is your reason for not using reptisafe for the same reason as mentioned earlier in this post? Or are there other things to consider? I haven't used it personally, I just buy bottled water.

I've heard of people just buying gallons of reverse-osmosis water by the gallon for their misting systems but , I can't confirm if this is good for the system or the reptile yet, does anyone know anything about this?

RO water for the mister means never having to clean calcium out of the jets. It also means no growth in the reservoir since no nutrients or bacteria in it vs well water. As for chameleon, its the theory they only get hydration from rain/ fog/ dew, so its naturally distilled vs drinking high mineral water out of a puddle/pond/creek.
