Start saving NOW. You will need a very large chameleon saving account to raise babies. I have babies now and it cost an unbelievable amount of money just to get ready for them with all the UVB fixtures, UVB lights, baby tubs, baby cages and plants. Now feeding them is unreal. They eat 4000 crickets a week plus flies and baby roaches. Yesterday I bought shipping supplies to send them to their news homes in the next few weeks and that was another $134.00. Also so far mine have not been sick but it you get a sick one be prepared for the vets bill. Not to mention the dry gut load and the paper towels. I go through an 8 roll pack of paper towels a week. Just wanted you to know that you have gotton yourself into a VERY EXPENSIVE project. Best of luck! BTW How old is your female? For some reason I was thinking your chameleons were young.

she is 8 months old he is like a month older

Ahhh, 8 months sounds young (most consider even ten months young!) How much does she weight? Anywho, only sell the pet stores that take very good care of their animals and housethem properly. There is only one pet store near me that I would even consider selling chams to, and even then, I'd prefer not to.

lots and lots of ppl want them to sell them a baby when they are ready but i dont trust them i dont really know who to sell them to without having to worry about them

Guys dont be so conservitive about them breeding. In the wild it happens when the females are 6 months (dont tell me "but this isnt the wild"), if it can happen in the wild it can most definetely happen in captivity.

If the females life is in danger from breeding then its the owners mistakes for not having the requirments met for her, not that she was bred young.

Veileds if kept perfect will even breed at 5 months of age.

thanks at first i was scared when i read them saying she was to young

In the wild they die all the time. When captive breed it is recommended to wait until 12 months or older but it's to late for that now.
