Beautiful Bella!

This tiny spider has me hooked. Fed them all house flies today and managed to get a shot of Bella holding her fly. It'll melt your heart! Looks like she's hugging that fly! Love this little spider, the minute I set eyes on her I loved her, she's so pretty and fuzzy!

I really don't like spiders either but these have charmed me, especially Bella. I'm not brave enough to have them out yet, lol,
She's bigger than I thought she was!
She's in an artificial rose, that is about half the size of a real one. That's the thing, you see photos and they look quite big but in person they are tiny.

I went away for a long weekend and you added a spider???!!! OK, that's it, no more vacations for me, because someone has to keep you sane! :D

O.k so last count is two females , a male and an egg sac or two full of hundreds of little spider people!
And they all have a Facebook page now, these spiders have won us over! They are just so cute :)

Oh yes! An egg sac due to hatch soon. Don't know how I feel about it, but Ethel defends it if I try and offer food. The Facebook page is called 'Bella & Co'. I haven't warmed to the male yet as he's very 'spidery' but both the small ones take food from tweezers which is cool! I'm not sure how well I'll cope with the babies,we shall see.

Brilliantly- that's how you'll cope with them! (y)
I must admit I'm not at that stage of arachnophobia rehabilitation that I could look at that new photo of the spider on the jumping spider FB page without feeling very scared and almost not able to touch the ipad screen to get rid if it! so I get what you are saying about the male- but he's got pretty colours so that's got to count and he's got a smiley face pattern on this behind too:ROFLMAO:

Just been looking at a very small spider in a cloudy plastic jar with an scratched inferior jewellers loup :ROFLMAO: and for the first time it looked at me and I could see it's little shiny eyes  yay! I think I see red/pink cheli wotsit mouthparts- whatever they are called. I think we have a bit of a jumping spider annexe going on on this forum! I'm sure it's against rules!:D:LOL:

Looks like yoyv got a female there! My male has made his hammock under the lid. Gonna be squeaky bum time when I mist him, lol!

 :ROFLMAO: they are so cute thought! I've worked out what it is about the male. The girls have light coloured faces and easy to see big eyes, but the boys have black/brown faces and you can't see their eyes! :ROFLMAO: I still don't know about the eggs. If Ethel comes out of the tube soon I'm gonna whip it out quick. I know she's tending to it but I think my sanity is worth a little sadness on her part! She'll likely lay another anyway. Just one female I said. Wasn't expecting to end up with hundreds!

LOL yeh like when I said 'i'll just stick to inverts, maybe I'll just get one leopard gecko and maybe just one snake'! haha
For me it's also not seeing the eyes- like you can't see them on those things in the shed- but mainly it's leg length - if they have short legs they look less like spiders- I still can't relax when looking at the J.S FB page as there are ads for tarantulas and whip scorpions-gross- eeww!
Certainly would be easier for you to remove eggs- at least you reduce the risk of hundreds of babies everywhere! Yes I am trying to help :ROFLMAO::D
