If you are soaking them once a week like you should be there is no need for a water dish. They also get their hydration from the veggies and feeders. Water dish just ends up being a potty. Also go to the bearded dragon forum and look up enclosures. They don't need the sand or substrate, I've used tiles or paper towels. That sand can get ingested and it will stain your beardies legs and belly.

For outside time I use a small kiddo pool with a basking rock for her to climb up on and about an inch of water. I wouldn't put him on plants. They don't grip well and could fall.

No mister , they love there water dish , there like a dog of the lizard world . Just watch the size of the water dish make sure it's not deep . Stay away from a Fountain . 4 month old baby bearded dragons are curious . They hop , jump there fast , they have no fear .

Alright guys I will do all of the above and report back after I've done some reconstructing and bearded dragon forum trolling. Thanks again for your help!

You just want coverage low so when your new baby is ready to sleep he can hide . They do dream . There the only reptile reported to dream .

Thank you for telling me this. I've been doing my best trying to make sure this little guy is good but I had no idea about that. Hands will be constantly washed lol. So to prevent cross contamination should I get James his own plants to chill on outside or? I already keep their foods separate and their cages are away from each other.

Yes, always keep their plants, and feeders separate. Also, things like tongs, feeder cups, anything at all that you might be tempted to use in both cages, don't. I've trained my petsitter when we go on vacation to feed the chameleons first, THEN the dragons, just in case. Also, if you are having outside time with all of your animals, remember which one you put out there last. So, I'll put my cham on a tree that has never been touched by the dragons. Then, I'll bring out the dragons and let them run (ok waddle, they are 12 year old lazy ladies) around on the tile floor. I'll then wash my hands with soapy water, just in case I have to grab the chameleon for some reason. We'll sit on the lanai and relax. When it's time to come in I'll bring in the chameleon, then the dragons, and wash my hands again. Of course you can wash them in between the cham and the dragons, but that's up to you.

Hi guys thanks for all your help. I'm definitely on the bearded dragon forum now too haha. Uhm having a four month old bearded dragon is kind of like being a new mother lol. Tony is so slow and into his own thing while James will take off the minute you turn an eye away, but he's still super adorable. Again thanks and here's a picture of the little dude.
