Bathing?

Hey guys, not that I have done this yet.... but I was wondering if you can bathe a veiled. Not with using soap and all that stuff, but by just putting him in some water, any help?

No you really don't need to bathe them. Just mist them really good, that is all they really need. Sticking them in water would probably just cause undo stress.

I shower my panther. He had some stuff in his eye and the breeder and vet said to give him room temperature showers for 15 minutes every day at a indrect mist. Now that his eye is healed im still giving him showers to clean the eye drop meds off his face. He absolutly loves the showers. He just calmly stands there and soaks up the "Rain". I have decided to keep his eyes clean I will give him one shower every week. It rains in Madagascar so I figure they must clean them self during the rain. So why not let him have some rain. He enjoys them. But I woundnt recommend doing it if it causes stress. There is a right and wrong way to do it.

One of the best ways to help keep your cham hydrated and as Texas Ranger stated clean crud out of eye turrets. I give my chams showers when I clean their cages. I put them on a plant in the shower do my cleaning chores and then put them back. Of course this is done one at a time. ;)

Okay... I guess I'll try giving him the indirect mist, but if it seems to be causing him ANY stress I shall stop immediately, thanks!:D
