Hello got a quick question as I am new to the chameleons is it a good idea to bath a warty chameleon every now and then, to one give some hydration and two maybe to help with shedding?

Yes a warm shower will help with shed warm I said. I put my chams outside tree in the shower and point the shower head at the wall to let it splash back onto the tree. Make sure he gets situated before you blast the water tho. I've never heard of your chameleons species but I'm sure this is fine and I like the schflerra tree:)

What did you mean by "bath"? A shower or a soak in a sink? Showers can be great, but if your cage setup is humid enough, your misting cycles and foliage give him enough to drink and stay hydrated that is probably less stressful for him. Not all chams decide they like showers.

If you meant a soak in the sink I'd say no. Chams don't swim well and it could be pretty frightening.
