Basking light and distance

So, I discovered my 60W bulb is not enough for my juvie veil, so I am getting a 100W basking bulb.
My question is, how far should he be from the light source?

Now, it's about 5'', but with a 100W, would be much hotter!!

Would say, 10'' be ok?

yes that would be ok. I lay my dome right on the screen and then my baskin branch is about say 8 inches down.

My basking branch is closer to the top, so I will need to elavate the dome
some 3 or 4'', or move the branch down, which would be a pain, and likely
to stress my new little juvie (just got him Tuesday).

I will have to check out some pics of everyones cage setup to get a good idea.

Distance is totally dependant on the temps aquired. I would start with 10" and make good temp measurments through out the day. Also I prefer to angle the basking light which allow you to play with the angles and get different temps.
