Yeah, that's me. I bought a few 6 foot long boards from home depot and built my Repti-Breeze stand and lamp holder.

How did you Secure it to the top?

It's not secured, it just rests on the top. I cut the top board to the exact width of the enclosure (2 feet), and made 'feet' that rest on the top. I'm debating taking an inch or so off of the top board to make it fit more snug. I didn't take into consideration that wood flexes a little. While it isn't going anywhere, it's not as snug as I want it. Also, my MistKing corner mount makes it not sit flat, which is on my to-do list to fix.

I have that exo terra light stand and it is not very tall. Had to rig it a bit to make it tall enough to fit the 30” tall cages. Serves it purpose with a little modification, but wasnt a good solution for me.
