Basking Lamp Dome Size 8" vs 10"

Any opinions on 8" vs 10" dome for a basking light?

Searched and searched but all I find are threads talking about wattage for basking lights...

I have a 24"x24"x48" cage which will house a panther soon. Between the Quad T5 fixture and the 10" dome, there's not much room for my raindome. Seems like the bigger area of the 10" is the way to go though. An 8" seems so small on there, but the extra room is nice.

I purchased the Zoomed 100W ReptiBasking spot lamp. I've got 2 standard domes, one is getting returned...the question is which. LOL.

Top of the screen to my basking area starts at 6".

The bigger the better in my opinion. The larger the dome, the greater the area of light spread, which gives you a larger/wider heat gradient. The 8" is ok though if space is tight. I would never go smaller though.
