Basking and ambient temps.

My vet told me that the ambient temps for a ababy panther cham would be 75-80, and that the basking should be 85-95. True or false? How do I know who is right? thanks, zach

seems about right for an adult panther. some may argue 95 is high but in the wild madagascar does surpass that. Think high 80s should be just fine. as for babies first 2 months should be 80-82. than an increase of one degree each month til adult temps are reached is a good rule of thumb

Agreed with jamjam
75-79 ambient
80-82 basking for baby's
86-92 basking for adults (females on the cooler side and males on the hotter side)

It does get hotter in Madagascar but the heat also kills a lot of chams every year there.
