Basking after outside

I have been taking my panther out nearly everyday and he seems to LOVE it. He gets to try new foods like flies. I bring him crickets and he gobbles them up eagerly. I bring him in usually after 2 hours because of the heat. It's about 85 today and while on his tree outside he is very dark for a large portion of the time. I mist him while he is out there too. Once it was 12:30 I brought him back in and for a few hours he just sat on the top branches of his cage basking. He (seems) sad inside as if he wants back out. The point of this post is to get an analysis of what may be going on in my chams head, and why is he continuing to bask while indoors. His indoor temps is basking of 86 and 80 ambient.

Chams bask for most of their day. so just cuz he did it outside doesnt mean he wont do it inside.
