Bad plant lighting, very annoying plant!

I have all the right lighting for my cham but not for his plant. In the picture, the middle bulb is for the plant. It's all i had at the time, it's a phillips T8 grow bulb. I think t8 is too high? I did have it mounted to the ceiling but moved it to the top of the cage because i figured it was too far away. This stupid plant is gonna be the death of me. It refuses to grow leaves on the front side (as you can see in the other pic) it only grows leaves on the back near the window and now its growing leaves out the top since i moved the grow bulb closer.

I want to try a jungle dawn but i'm not sure which one to get. the plant is in the center of the cage. I don't think the spotlight kind will work. What do ya'll think?

is there no one who can help reccommend which jungle dawn light would be best for my setup? i need help ya'll! I can take more pics if i need to

Do you have a plant light at all? UVB will not give most plants all they need especially in taller cages

Well first off what kind of plant are we talking about? All I see is a pothos. If that's what you're talking about then of the window Is exposing too much sun and heat it will not grow, pothos prefer a more room temperature type of environment.

oh no it's growing, it's just growing only on the window side and the very top. its starting to get very bushy near the left backside where the heat lamp is. i think it's not growing in the front because there's not enough light on that side of the cage

If it's growing on the side where there is more light (coming from the provided plant light) there is no need to buy another one... just adjust the hood so it is more all-inclusive where the plant is

Pothos needs very little light. Perhaps it has something to do with the moisture.
they do well on the back of my toilet, where there is a window and about medium-brightness. i take pretty good care of my plants, it's not the only one i've had, i've grown clippings from it. the light i have i think would do better if it wasnt 6 years old and a t8, i think it's lost some of it's brightness over the years.

I dont know how it could be moisture. i dig my finger into the plant soil often and watch the leaves for droopyness/wilted-lookingness often, i keep it preened as best i can too like clipping off yellow leaves and dead ones as soon as they pop up. i give it about 32oz of water a week (filtered/distilled) and then it also gets misted twice a day when i mist for my cham. if i do any less than this, it gets droopy and sick looking.

i've tried to put it directly over the plant as best i can. i can't move his UVB because it is directly over his uvb basking branch. all i can think of is maybe getting a better plant light something a bit brighter like jungle dawn.

Your cham could be munching on the leaves on just the one side. My veiled prefers to only eat the leaves on the backside of his pothos. All the other leaves are untouched and vines continue to grow like crazy.

I know you are looking for light suggestions but if there is a way you can rotate your plant a quarter turn every week or so that might help with the light you already have.
