I have a baby veiled chameleon that I bought about 2 week ago at the Reptile convention in Pomona. I am little concerned that he is not eating well (or at least I dont think he is). He lookx a little on the thin side and he's not very active. I feed him cricket or I should say I put crickets in his cadge for him to feed on (about 5 crickets every day) but i dont see him actively hunting them down and a lot a still in the cadge. He wont eat from my hand and doesnt liked to be toughed or held. I just noticed today stool does look a little yellow, previously it did not. I spray him and the live ficus plan down 3 time a day and I do have a drip system set up. His cage size is 36-12-12. Should I be concerned

I would be offering alot more than 5 crickets a day. More like 15-20, he may be having a hard time hunting them dowm. If you are seeing yellow or orange in the urate part of the stool I would up the misting a bit.
Welcome to the forum by the way :)

There could be many reasons, but I definitely agree that the offered amount could be upped! :) And perhaps there are too many hiding places for the crickets?

Is it possible you could fill out the "How to ask for help" survey so we could help you better? :)
