Baby Sambavas!

Babies are such fun. It is almost time for my rudis babies to go to their new homes, but I am finding hard to part with them! I have loved watching them grow, eat and climb. They just grow up too fast!! Enjoy yours while they are little!

I want one two....

Congratulations Gesangs on your hatchlings! The photos are great...I see photo contest entries for next month (hint, hint, hint)....

I'm going to need one of those baby girls....so put me on your list please :)

Please keep the photos coming. The patterns on them is amazing :)

WOW...your babies are absolutely gorgeous and so healthy! Their parents are stunning. I have been looking for another sambava for my male I have now for quite some time...but alas, that pesky border and their rules gets in the way!!! Good luck with the 'kids'....looks like you'll have no problems finding them nice homes!

Man, Catherine, I'd love to shop your chams. After seeing Royden's photos? We really do need to get him over here to do photos of our guys.

Intense awesomeness! They are so cool! I would love to spend a day taking photos of these guys.

That would be really neat- but- Royden lives closer :p. He's about an hour from us and we hope to get him down here.

Oh my gosh they are so cute! And I swear they look like Igor when they hold their hands that way! Wondered who would be up on their Young Frankenstein. Good luck hatching the rest. I'm baby sitting a one week old ambilobe and 4 eggs that don't want to hatch:confused: Enjoy, they grow so fast.

I got such a kick out of your photo, and understood right away! Marty Feldman was perfect for that role. But, you know who else these chams remind me of when they stand that way? The great character actor, Peter Lorre. Even their eye balls resemble his. And he would do that bubble-eyed, tilt-head, hand wringing thing in some of his movies. Of course, Peter Lorre's eyes don't move independently the way Marty's do.

Here are a few updated shots. The oldest are now 24 days old. They have turned from cream and gray to an orangey color with brown accents.

It must be time to begin separating them. There seems to be a little street gang formed. There's one big guy who seems to wander the tub with 2 little buys following him. He'll go up to another baby cham and put his face right next to it's face, eye to eye, then slowly reach up and place a front paw on the poor little guy's nose and give him a shove. No one gets hurt and it's kind of comical to watch. I picked the bully up on my finger and gave him a little talking to. But I realize it is all natural and acceptable for them to be establishing ranks. There are 25 of them in a large bin, so the bully has to go eye to eye with quite a few of them in order to firmly establish his pecking order. Today they will be separated into 2 smaller groups.

Chuck G- if you see this, please notice how clean my hands and nails are ! :D

The Jets rumble with the Sharks. Choreography needs work.

Sandy they're gorgeous already! Look at their little orange markings, they're going to be knockouts!

OMG, I am in love. What cute little guy/gals.

How many male vs females are there? I would sure love a little girl if you have one available when they are old enough.

Any sire pics?

gesang, I can't get enough of those guys. I keep coming back to your post. Those eyes are incredible and I love the stripes.

Sorry about the double posting. Sire picks are near the beginning of this thread. At 24 days, I can't yet tell gals from guys, except for the dudes that puff their gulars at me all red first thing in the morning. I am assuming those are guys.
