It's been a very exciting end to 2013 with the hatching of 9 baby Rieppeleon brevicaudatus at my house. All are doing great besides the one that didn't make it over the first night due to breathing complications.
The remaining 8 are eating like crazy and enjoying the mistings through out the day. It's day three for the first 5 to hatch out and day 2 for the last 3 to hatch out. All are eating great on dusted fruit flies, thanks to the help from Dayna!
Here are a few pictures of the remaining three that were hatched out on the 31st of December. They are just a big bundle of joy and are keeping me quite occupied while I am not at work.
They have gotten this great idea that since their legs work, they can climb to the top of the kritter keepers and hang on for dear life until I notice it and place them back onto their fake plants.
Here are the three born on the 31st on my finger tips, and one of those three chomping down a fruit fly. These little babies sure make the fruit flies look big when they are shoveling them into their mouths!
Thanks for looking and sorry for the crummy iPhone pictures and bad indoor winter lighting!
