Hi guys I'm in need of a little help, I purchased a vailed chameleon Sunday (2 days ago) he's around 5" head to tail unsure of the age. He is housed in a Vivexotic viva arboreal vivarium 3ft tall 2ft wide. He has a basking spot of 85 and the bottom of the cage is around 70. He has 2 live plants hibiscus plenty of plastic hanging vines branches etc. I also have an exo terra monsoon for misting. Lights are on for 12 hours per day 8:30am 8:30pm. Since Sunday he has eaten around 4 hoppers dusted in calcium, but has been sleeping in the hanging vines most of the 2 days which from what I read may not be a good thing? I no he needs to get used to his new environment but he is not active enough to explore it. I'm really worries as already in attached to this little guy and want to understand why he may be doing this? Any help would be very grateful :)

I bought mine on sat on sunday and monday my cham was exactly the same hes only just been a litlle more alert today and only just eaten today since saturday maybe they just need time :)

Really hope so last thing I want to is start messin around with him he seemed fine at the pet shop I keep reading things saying it's not right and so on just making me more worried.

I was the same as long as temps are right and hes well hydrated it maybe that hes just settling maybe just adjusting

You are right to be alarmed. It is not a sign of adapting to his environment. Since you have only had him for a couple days, he was prob sick when you got him.

Do you have a light on at night for heat?

What supplements are you providing and schedule?
