Baby chameleon sleeping too much

Hi I’m a first time chameleon owner. This is Flynn, I’m not certain how old he is. I have had him for 3 weeks. He’s currently eating fruit flies. I give him as many as he’ll eat pretty much. I have a dripping system, but I also manually mist his enclosure 3 times a day. He’s getting calcium without D3 almost everyday. I have a 60watt bulb. My uvb is a Zilla 25 which I think equates to like 8.0. The past 3 days he’s had his eyes closed nearly every time I check on him. He’s still eating and I’ve seen him drink a couple times. My guess is currently that he’s getting too much uvb so I raised the fixture this morning. Does anyone have any other ideas of what could be wrong? He’s so small I’m worried about him. Thanks, Cassie

Put his UVB on top of screen... You using Multivitamins with Vit A? Also calcium should be every feeding, since that’s when their bodies need it the most, as younglings, just like Humans.

The uvb lighting has to be placed directly on the screen. The little one is literally getting no uvb at basking with it up above.

You are starting out with a big handicap. This Cham was wayyyy to young to be sold. The slightest error can kill them at this age.

Your UVB is fine for now. I suspect your overdosing him with calcium/vitamins. They need very little supplementation at this age, not the same schedule as older chams.

Remove all supplements from your schedule and run as much water through him as you can.
