baby chameleon closed both eyes please help!!!

aww really!! well then its time to change her name lol, any suggestions? also how do i deal with the eggs and stuff? and is there something else i should know?

Aww…congrats on having a sweet little girl. 
As she grows older, she will probably become pretty sassy, and that’s one of the things we love about them. They are like little warrior princesses, and that might give you some inspiration for a new name. Looking at mythology and girl warrior names, there is Frejya, Athena, Brunhilde, Camilla, Isa, Maude, Brienne, Arya, Maeve, and so many more.
Do make sure to read my blog about managing our ladies egg laying. It does work and helps our girls have better and longer lives. Right now though, just focus on getting her growing strong and healthy…and yourself!

@MissSkittles has the very best advice for caring for our little girls. With her advice mine has never had eggs, and she's 2 years old now. But I still keep an egg bin in the cage, just in case. My best advice is to never keep the basking spot hotter than 25c, and weigh her at least once a month when she's about 9 months old to keep her weight the same. But for now, when she's young feed her as much as she can eat, and then assess if she needs a food reduction at 6-7 months. Post pictures here and we should be able to tell you if it's time to start reducing her feeding.

i weighed her yesterday just because i was curious and shes 5 grams now so reallyyyy tiny still, i dont know if thats a healthy weight tho cause i cant rlly find anything on google about that.

Yes, keep feeding her all she will eat twice a day. She should be eating at least a couple of dozen feeders each time. She is using all of that food energy to grow. Veileds do grow very quickly. Usually by around 3-4 months old is when we switch them to feeding just once a day, but we still give as much as they will eat. It gets a bit tricky knowing how much to feed our little girls as they get older. We want them to have enough food to grow fully and be healthy, but not overfeed and have them lay dozens of eggs at a young age. Go by the info in my blog and your own instinct. Unfortunately we can’t trust that our veiled chameleons will stop eating when they get full. I tried that when I got my first chameleon (a veiled girl) before I knew anything and she was eating a few dozen crickets daily!

shes eating a tonnnn each day! around 20/30 bugs per feeding.

i was at my boyfriends house so i can shower since he has a shower on the first floor and i am not allowed to walk up the stairs, my aunt and my nephew (7) went over to my house to visit me since i’d be back home in about an hour.
i never got asked if they were allowed to hold my baby chameleon, my mom and dad were home but they were upstairs for a minute to clean and my aunt just grabbed my baby out of its enclosure and put it on my nephews hand to take a picture, without asking, without my parents knowing and my nephew panicked and threw her on the floor!!!!!
im so so angry and upset.my mom heard the screams and grabbed my baby of the floor and she seems okay but im so worried something might be wrong.
i feel so sick and like such a bad owner but im mostly so angry at my aunt for being so irresponsible!! how can i know my babys okay?
update: shes eating and walking around, shes fully green and both her eyes are open, im keeping a close eye on her.guys i need help im furious!!!!!!

Oh my goodness! I’m so glad that your baby is okay. Just keep an eye on her, as I know you’re already doing. Just so you know, when chameleons get bruises, they are black. Also, when threatened and no other way out, they will drop from their tree to the ground so are more tolerant of falling than we think.
For the future, to prevent any thing like that you may want to put a little stop sign on or near her door with warning not to touch her unless you are there. It’s for those ‘just in case’ times that you may not be around and a visitor has the idea to mess with her.

yeah i did, i immediately made a paper with some info on it and i just put that she bites, she doesnt, but noone has to know..
shes eating and walking around fine so im so glad shes okay but i got so scared!
