yeah i figured something fatty wouldnt really be that bad at the moment since hes on the skinny side.Yay! Give him as much as he wants to eat. While meal worms (buffalo worms are similar I believe) aren’t the best feeder, that’s okay for now as long as he’s eating. You’re doing great! Sounds like your little man is feeling better and doing better.
hi! pretty good if i say so myself, hes eating more (he really likes the buffalo worms lol.. but he still gets his crickets and flies) and hes opened both eyes again! hes still a bit lethargic but thats also gettinb better everyday!

ive tried holding a cricket and a worm together so he’ll get both but he just gets the worm, any ideas how to get him to eat his crickets again?
Are the crickets the right size? Are they maybe too big for him still, or maybe he’s grown and they’re now too small? Are there any other tiny feeders that you can get for him? I know some are limited by law, like hornworms, but I’ll attach the feeder graphic for you. I would think that silkworms would be available there. Those are one of my favorite feeders and chameleons do love all wormy bugs. Plus, they do come in very small sizes usually and are a bit slower to grow large. Bsfl are great feeders and usually a nice small sizes. Plus they are so high in calcium that they don’t need to be dusted. If they are moving too slow to attract his attention, you can lightly mist them with water. hi guys!!!! a update on my baby! hes doing great!!!! he has molted for the first time yesterday and hes really active and eating a tonnnn! im just not sure if hes really a male? also when do i start feeding less?
I was just thinking about you during the night and wondering how your baby is doing. To determine gender on veileds, you look at the back of the back feet. Males have prominent nubs, called tarsal spurs. Some females may have what looks like tiny ones, so if you aren’t sure, post some pics of the back heels and we should be able to help figure it out. Adding a pic to demonstrate the male spur. This was my little guy when he was about 4 months old. His casque was still small (like an adult females) but his male colors and patterns were clear. Females don’t have these vertical bars and when young are mostly just green.
