I do not have him yet but he will be a little over two months when I get him. I have a zoo med. Do you think that it would be okay to raise the bottom of the cage to about so that it would be limited on the inside to 20-24in. I think I could do this by pushing the PVC floor up and keep it hanging some way.
Maybe you should keep that cage, set it up with a ficus and some fake vines, then get a JUVENILE jackson's chameleon?
The cage would then be NOT too big, AND last him his whole life. Just a suggestion.
Which cham are you thinking of getting? For a 2 month - 3 month old veiled or panther, they are kind of tiny. So I recommend getting some plastic and blocking off a section of it, so it's smaller.
Not to thread jack, but why can't you just get your baby cam in a large cage from the start? In the wild, they are subject to the world in it's entirety, so why not do the same for your pet?
Isn't half the stuff we do for them done to give them as natural a lifestyle as possible?
