Just got baby cham two days ago from good breeder, but he wont eat, its been two days.. He has pooped though, problably from breeder though. Any suggestions? He is in a rubbermaid tote like the breeder had him. He is just about to be 2 months old.

give him some time to get acclimated to his new surroundings. give him plenty of privacy. some chams don't eat right away in their new environment. it can take weeks for them to get completely settled in. just make sure to mist as usual and offer food as you normally would and give him plenty of privacy.

:D Hello and welcome the the forums. Those first couple of weeks are nerve racking. They are so little. What are you feeding him? How are you feeding him. Is he drinking? Can you show us the enclosure it's in? Is there good air flow? This may help us see if there really is anything to worry about.

Feeding 3 week crix, very small. Misting twice a day. about an hour after lights on, and once about 2 hours before lights out. I dont SEE him drinking, but he is being misted. I try not to look at him. He is in a 20 gallon breeding storage tote. Good Airflow as i have it up on a shelf with room fan on. This is a temporary cage until about new years(getting a 260 gal reptarium).
His basking temp is around 80 degrees give or take. I will get a pic in a second.

I would say give him some time. I never saw my chameleons drink water until I got a mister. When I hand sprayed them I knew they were drinking Bcuz they were hydrated but I would never see them drink. Make sure u put his food where he can see it an it is small enough for him to eat. But it can also be the temperature. I would also be careful on the heat bulb u r using (dont let it bee to high in wattage) because you container will hips heat and make it really hot for the chameleon and babies can easily over heat. 80 for basking spot is what I have used for my baby veiled and panthers but I had them on screen cages. Please make sure your container is not entirely 80 or higher. He needs to be able to cool down. Let me know if you have any specific questions. You can pm me. :) I'm happy to help. Or just post here on the threat.:)

His basking is 80 degrees give or take, but he is in a tote so idk if that is the total all around temp, he does move around so i know he is thermo regulating, he did poop again.. idk if it is a more recent poop from him eating with me or still from breeder, im just worried because i know how fragile he is. Maybe i shud lower his basking?

Still no feeding response from what i can see, seems as if there are less crix but im wondering if they are hiding in the pothos plant pot. I put some stones on it to see if it would stop em from going in there but no luck, I guess if hes pooping were good
