Baby born breech (backwards)

I have 3 different clutches from the same mom all hatching at once. They been hatching at a steady pace since April.... I have ummm...32 when more on the wayso far

Anyway this morning I looked and saw this:

Obviously the WRONG end sticking out. it makes for a funny picture but I wasn't sure if the baby would have trouble getting out. For all i know he stuck his head out and went back in a flipped around...? GUess I will wait and see.

Aww! That's so cute with the tail sticking out! I presume that they wriggle when trying to get out of the egg, so it may be possible that he turned himself around in there! Hope he makes it out ok.

you should have taken a hi-res macro shot of that. He's probably folded in half, sliced it open, and his tail slid out first. cute.

He has been like that for hours. I noticed the tail has curled up tighter now like they do when they sleep. Im just going to let it alone and see if it comes out on its own. I did think it was pretty weird

Its been taking the babys 1 or 2 days to emerge from the egg after they pip.

My cham Zee was born that way. His Aunt decembermoon helped him out of his egg, and he was smaller than the others, the size of a matchbook. He is now 4" and 4 months.
