Baby Bin design:)

I've been told what I said above by numerous breeders, one of them being a sponsor, that Veields DO handle 1/4 inch crickets as hatchlings, and also house flies.

I've had panther hatchlings that took care of 1/16th inch and even 1/8 inch crickets out of the egg.

Not sure why people still bother with pinheads? Unless it is a tiny sp. ? I mean seriously, pinheads are what? 1/20th of an inch... LOL baby Veields aren't that small!

Keep in mind, small crickets are very soft bodied.

Fake plants work OK, not great by any means though. Live plant leaves hold water on them for way longer. Keeping babies hydrated is so important, babies dehydrate so quickly.

And I bet you will find the babies will be high, above on the sticks hanging where there arne't any leaves.

I have seen dozens of pictures of newly hatched Veields, and they're larger than panther hatchlings.

Brian i understand your offering some help:) and i appreciate that.

I can assure you there will be more plants added in as they start hatching out but for now its just what i have atm.

I have used both fruit flies and 1/4's. I have never used pins...just too small for veiled babies. They do eat 1/8"s (I think they're called 2 week old crickets) but find that whatever is put in their bin will be gone in quick order. If I get a cup of fruit flies they will last about a week which is perfect for everyone to hatch and learn to eat.
