Just as the title said, i have baby veileds that are eating their buddy's shedded skin while it is still on him. At first it was funny but then 1 particualr guy was actually following him around and was zapping it off of him and eating it. At one point he went up and bit it off his back which kinda scared me. Could this mean that they might have some kind of defiency? It only seemed to be 2 of them doing it. They are almost 2 mos old and get fed 4 x day, calcium 3 x, w d3 1 x, week and vit 1 x week

Just a natural thing. In the wild many reptiles eat their own skin, as to leave no trace of them. Eating the evidence, so predators have harder time finding them. Snakes can get a scent off of their old skin, and aid in tracking down a meal.

I thought i was worrying for nothing and i knew they usually ate their own i just got weirded out when they were chasing down the poor guy to get it. You shoulda seen him run. lol.
