babies cage...

I recently got two female babies, they are probably around 2 months at this point. I have been keeping them in a plastic tub for the moment, getting them bigger and used to a feeding cup. I have had them 2 weeks, and they are starting to eat pinheads, out of the feeding cup. I bought a cage that is big enough for them full grown, 2x2x4...i jumped the gun on size...but if they are eating out of a feeder cup, would it be safe to move them to their full grown cage yet? opinions?

You should be fine just make sure to watch them an make sure they are both eating and obviously dot keep them togther for too long.

If you have 2 separate areas for basking and make sure there is no aggression you should be able to house 2 females together in a 2x2x4 cage.

If you plan on moving them into that cage you need to divide it down is space. At 2 months they can be together for a couple of months more then you will need 2 cages. At this point I would turn the 2x2x4 on the side and divide off a 2x2x18 for the 2 of them. As long as they are cup feeding some people would say the cage at 2x2x4 is ok. I personally would not be comfortable with that. When they are babies I like to see them and know everything is going well. Even cup feeding you won't see them as much to be able to get familiar with the individual chameleons. I know partitioning a cage is extra work but I am one who likes to play it safe with babies. Good luck.:)

right on, i will make sure i get another lamp for an extra basking spot. I was planning on housing them together, they are doing quite well right now. I will definitely keep an eye on them though, and make sure they are getting along. Thanks guys
