Sounds good to me. Do you have any pictures?

i will post them soon the vet said he should weigh closer to 100grams!?
i thought that was way to much, and he seems consistent to the other chams i have gotten the pleasure to handle

100 g? Seriously? My vet told me Fred was perfectly healthy at 6 months and 55 g. He's now almost 7 months and 75 g though lol.

The weight, size, and length varies tremendously. I've seen 6 month olds over 200grams, while my old male was 100grams at a year old. Their weight varies with growth rate, which also varies...

Homer is 105 grams at 4 & half months. Just weighed him. He measures 140 mm/5 n half inches snout to vent.

Sorry thats 102 grams (sans 3 grams for the twig). Its not easy to weigh an animal that likes to move! :)

How do you weigh yours?

Doesn't Homer eat a lot of donuts and drink a lot of beer? :D

I have a stick that sits on my scale. I tare the scale with just the stick on the scale. The scale then reads zero. Then I weigh the animal.

LOL. Homer's a cool name. I'd be so cool to have a bunch of chams and name them after ancient writers and philosophers and enlightenment thinkers of the 16th and 17th centuries.

I weighed my veileds today.. they are both about 18 months old and at about the same size...

Jake

8.75" is 228g

Fred

8.25" is 221g

LOl Actually, Its not after Homer as in "Homer - epic poet, thought to be author of the Iliad and Odyssey.", though Thats cool too, Summoner was on the mark, hes named after Homer as in , 'yellow, 3 fingers, eats donuts (crickets), Funny as hell' :D

(hes nice and yellow) and 3 fingers fits!
I thought about Gallileo or something, but Homer stuck.
Now hes 4 times the size (big casque) ,maybe 'Domer' is more apt? LOL :)

I really want to get a female veiled, which I plan to do after moving Fred to a bigger cage, and call her Isis. I love that name.

I don't even know what a Yemeni name would be. Muhammad? lol! That would actually be pretty funny. Muhammad the chameleon!

Ooooh! I was gonna say 'Ahab' but I thought Id be shot down for blatant racism Lol

apparently arabian word for chameleon is 'شخص متقلب' No idea how to say that!

Hmmm? 'Herby' ? As In 'goes Bannanas! :D Ive always envied those with a talent for linguistics,
They say its easier to master other languages when your young, Too late for me, Id end up with a tongue like a cham If i tried to get my head around a language like Arabic. :)
