Yes, I did just win in May, with a different chameleon. Yes, I do have a good camera. I also have a pretty solid grasp of photography, composition, and animal behavior, and I weed through several hundred images to pick out my entry. Should anyone want tips on photography I would be more than happy to share several decades of experience of both photography and working with animals. Aside from that, winners are determined by the voting population of the forum. If you think their votes are misplaced, you should take it up with them.
 
I'm okay with having nicer chameleons in person, I have no issue with it. Good job on passive aggressive Cham forums.

It's a shame people that actually contribute to the forums on a regular basis are ignored.

And no duh winners are determined by the voting population, if I just looked I'd vote for you too. Beautiful picture, but after seeing you and the other post every other month(Not your fault, play the game how it is). It gets old with the same winners. I don't need $50 I'm well off, but i'd like to see others have the opportunity. For example, that purple panther would blow anyone away in person, a Jackson, not so much. Gunna leave thread because I don't sugar coat things and nothing I say will help

I just snapped a picture with my phone and posted to the contest. All pictures I post here on Instagram or FB are all just shot with my phone.

People that get upset they don't win just need to post better pictures. I can easily scan though the entires and pick 1,2,3 in seconds. In the past I've thought some winners won partly because of popularity but the vast majority of the time the right pictures win imo.
 
@Action Jackson I agree, i shouldn't act like an ass. I haven't entered in months. @Tattersb is a fantastic photo, I'd vote for that or the others based on photography skills. It just gets annoying when there's only a couple people who are repeat winners. I've been here off an on since 2008...
 
I apologize for being rude... I don't take back the way I feel towards it, but it's absolutely not the winner's fault.
