Attatching vines in a screen cage?

hits may be rather simple, but how do you attach vines into your screen cage? the only thing i can think of is using zip ties, or twist ties. any ideas? (im trying to attach the twisty vines from hagen (exoterra)

I use wire from Micheal's... I think its for bracelets or something.... just make sure you don't leave the ends of the wire poking into the cage. Ya don't want your cham to get cut.

I use fishing line. I bought like 500 yards for $5 at sportsmart 15 pound breaking line also so you know your cham won't break it :)

thanks for all the help! i found some super small cable ties, and ended us using them. (didnt even need to open the cage holes)

Yes, the small cables are excellent. I also used some twist ties at first, but I found the cables to be much better. You do not need to worry about the process because it is very easy to accomplish.

wow am i the only one that strips the end od the vine to expose the metal wire then i just poke it through the cage and bend it over works great and dont make holes in the cage really once in a while it will pop out the smallest lil hole not even a hole really and if you connect them in the cage with other vine highways they are super sturdy and dont move at all here are a few pics of what iam talking about

I make a small loop at either end by bending the vine back on itself and holding in place with a zip tie. I then use garden wire to attach to the screen ensuring they are tied from the inside to out to ensure the chams cannot hurt themselves on the sharp bits

Interesting, I will have to try that.

This is an old thread people...

I recently acquired a mass of copper telephone wire. I save the green coated wire to cut into pieces for attaching vines and the rest I strip for making jewelry.:D

sorry didnt realize this was an old thread i seen a post from yesterday and didnt bother to look any further back my bad but as far as sharp bits i have none they are on the outside of the cage as shown in my pic i posted
