At the bottom

My male Veiled sometimes goes to the bottom of his cage and walks on the bottom or he will be in the corner trying to figure out how he can get out he is 5 months and I know his cage is small but I just want to make sure that's why he is doing it the cage is 12x18x20 I know it for a little guy but college is killing me. I will be getting get a lot bigger cage in a month or less. But when he does go down to the bottom it's only for a min or two and then he comes back to the top and he is fine. He just does it everyday but only for a min or two

i cannot tell much from the pic, as he looks dark, but you are sure he is a male right? Females will go to the bottom looking for a place to lay eggs. If he is for certain a male, he is probably just exploring and looking for a way out. I have one chameleon that is always walking around the bottom of his cage. That is a very small cage. you should look on craigslist. you can find some good deals on there.

Yes he has the spurs on the back so I know he is and okay that's good I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a start of a health problem I want to stay on top of it and in November I will take him to the vets for a check up but thank you for the good advise
