Im not sure if she has eggs or not. She has been a differant color for about 2 weeks now. She was walking around the bottom this morning which is something she never does. She has had a laying bin in her cage for a while its a little on the small side 8 inches deep and 6-8 inches across, so i bought her one that is alot bigger that i am hoping will fit nicely in her cage. Should i stress her out and put the new one in or leave her be. Ill post a few pics and yall can tell me what yall think.

The bin is too big to fit in her cage with the plants. can i plant one in the bin on one side? It will still leave about a 1 ft width of just play sand.

Eating dirt is not good :( sometimes it can be a sign that they're lacking minerals, whats your supplement schedule?

Are you sure she's eating it? She will go nose down if she's digging.

She was shooting it. She only did it a few times. She didnt do it with the smaller bin maybe she was investigating it. She gets plain calcium everyday exept for the days she gets butters or silks and d3 and herpavite once every 2 weeks.

Ah I see. Your supps are great so that's not it. Is it dirt or sand or a mix? It's possible she thought she saw a bug or something since it's new.

You know she doesn't look that big, the colours you're seeing could mean that she's receptive, and the wandering could be her looking for a mate.

I'm by no means an expert though! Just going from what I've learned on here. I also have a female vieled so have been doing loads of research on egg production and such :)

Me too !!! I am still not confidant with the whole egg laying yet. Her bin only has moisy play sand. I had to hang her pothos over ir so some soil may have been jostled out.

She doesn't look that big to me either. Maybe you can post more photos of her and someone more experienced will tell you if she looks gravid?

IMHO She is most definitely not pregnant. If she is pregnant she is nowhere near ready and would still be in the process of producing eggs.

She just looks like a nice healthy female, there are many other factors that affect chameleon colors...temps, stress, health reasons....being gravid is not the only reason they change. Good luck with her...keep us posted!

I'm sure more senior members will also chime in with their opinions as well.
