Armor plated lizard

I have two armor plated lizards.The big guy is named Appa and the little one for now is named MoMo. Unsure the sex on the younger one. They were together at the petstore. We've had them for a year. I don't see a lot of information online on them, compared to other reptiles. They are pretty cool. The little one is a lot more nervous than the bigger one. They get along well, have had no problems. Recently cleaned up their enclosure.

Anyone else have any of these guys?

What's their Latin name?

You know I was told mine were African plated lizards. When I went to look for their name I found out they are Madagascar lizards.
