So yeah im really sad my suspitions are true. My cham is a girl. It's my first Cham and i REALLY wanted a male. Im pretty attached now but the breeder offered to trade her in for a male. Not sure what to do as my fiance wont let me keep more than 1. SIGH wish i wasnt in this situation and it was from a MAJOR breeder so no idea how they could make this mistake.

Maybe you could however speak to your fiancée and see if she could accept to have a second chameleon, or to talk about what she thinks about your choice!

it is your choice. they are both fun. males are less complicated at keeping then females though. um.. can't you just tell your wife that "she's lonely and you just found out that chameleons can't live together, but they constantly need to feel another one there" pile of junk? lol of course its completely untrue, but snuggle your way into another one?

or heres a romantic one, "i want her to have the same kind of perfect love we have sweetheart". That'll get her

If you get a male and successfully breed, raise and sell the babies then you can take her shopping. THAT will get her. If I told my girl a sappy line about our love I would probably get punched and called a little girl, hehe. I love her so !!!

haha yeah i wondered that at times myself. Shes pretty tough for such a pretty girl, I know she likes the sappy though because I am nothing but sappy and she always laughs and rolls her eyes like I don't mean it. She does like shopping though so I know shes at least THAT much of a lady.

Females who are not in the hands of experienced keepers are at greater risk of death than males. You want to gain experience with a male who will not have the difficulties that face females so will be better able to live through being your first chameleon. You value the life of the female too much to put her at risk so.

its not about you, dont be selfish. lol. its about both equally. but i will say one thing.. we all think we have them figured out, but women are continuously evolving lol... so you continue to think your mr. right words and youre getting all that you want.. but keep playing that game, she'll evolve and adapt to your scam, and it'll be you bittin dust at the end haha

Well im gonna exchange my girl for a BEAUTIFUL holdback from the breeder. He is sooooo amazing looking im pumped. Eliza thanks for the advice i used your argument. /hugs.
