He was gaping for a second, but he was right under basking light so that is debatable
When he breathes, his dewgland i guess you can call it expands and closes when he inhales/exhales.
No other signs, i didnt see any saliva or anything of that nature..
what do you all think?

Whats your ambiant temp at? and whats your basking temp at?

Usually chams do this when they're close to getting over heated. They open their mouths and gape to cool off.

how high was the basking temp? they will open their mouths and breath when they are too hot also.
