Are these hoppers safe???

Hoj

Friendly Grasshopper
I got a net and caught these buggars. They have black and white wings and they can fly for a good bit. But I managed to scoop a few.
Just curious if they are a safe feeder

This is what my bug Winston is, but I think he is towards the end of his life cycle lol I think he is about to die lol didnt feed him to my chameleon though because I didnt want him to have parasites

They look like grey birds but its hard to tell by those pics. Try a google search for them and compare, if they are so your safe

Did a little searching and I dont think it quite matches a grey bird hopper but close. I have figured out it is a band winged hopper but that is about as far as I get.
Any other ideas?

If you think identifying Chameleons is even marginally difficult etymologists would be akin to gods.

I'm nearly certain you had a member of the Genus Genus Trimerotropis just because no other hoppers I can find have a similar coloration, shape, and markings. It should be relatively easy to find the species because of the 40 something only a few are in your area. look here if you want to get into details or even still care : http://bugguide.net/node/view/4994

We really need to find some of those bug experts and see if they would take bribes to come here and be bug experts for all of our questions!
