Are these branches safe?

I was in downtown LA yesterday and bought a manzanita tree and these branches I know that the manzanita tree is safe but are the other branches safe?they don't look like manzanita branches but they are cooool...

Yes they are, I have used them. Sometimes they come with a clear finish on them which makes them too slick I think, but yours look unfinished.

Hmmm.OK cool...I should put a layer of weather proof on them and stain them so they will last longer and look better huh?

I had these in a tarantula cage and they got really moldy so maybe you should treat them somehow.

Yes I would weather proof them in case of mold
