Are silk tree branches safe?

I have this tree in my front yard. And I've been using branches off of it in yodas cage since I brought him home. I looked it up and it's a silk tree. Are these safe to use for him?
 
if you mean the one that's leaves look like a fern and the flowers are little pink puff balls then yes it's safe. JUST the branches, though. I would either bake them or quarantine (for like a week) and scrub them down before putting them in. If it has bark, leave the bark on. I was told just to stay away from pine.
 
yep, that's the one. Thanks! How long/ what temp should I bake them?

set it to 200 and let them bake for 1-2hours. if they are thin branches you may want to consider just scrubbing them because thin ones usually don't survive the oven they will just get crispy and fall apart (i made that mistake lol)
