Are Mantids good for veileds?

Mantids are fine however do as best you can to make sure the feeder is free of pesticides.

they are an interesting addition, you just need to keep in mind that they are not cost effective at all. You have to feed insects to the mantids and they eat A LOT. So it gets expensive for a feeder that may or may not add much nutrition to the chameleons diet. You would likely need to order ooths online or from a forum member and raise the mantids up. It takes months for them to get large enough to be a good meal and in the mean time they will eat a ton of fruit flies, flies and crickets etc.
